They either changed frequency or maybe are being uploaded for testing on 43.5, which I sincerely doubt. They shouldn't test with active package channels taking it down from official position?
No Triad they will not be transferred to 43.5 east mostly when testing in this slot no channels are transmitted but transponders are switched on and tested so we try to measure signal strength. But nothing is being transmitted yet.

As far as I can see theses channels have not gone to 2f, but I have noticed a difference in signal strength so maybe to make way for 2e they are being moved slightly this could alter the beam.

So if you are sure that your motor is OK I would leave it alone until we know more.

    Hope this helps nml

Don't try and search for any of these transponders unless you have a spectrum analyser or a pc card with extra software " You will not get them on a standard receiver" just posted this to save members a lot of wasted time.

If existing satellites on 28.2E are moved "slightly" as 'u say, then it's a not good way to keep all those European customers east of GB!??
And if that continue to be a factual state of the narrowed beam in EU especially Eastern part, then I must say that Sky UK drops from the first place Sat TV provider on my list!!!
I mean, that movie channels are a gem on sat tv scene and besides PPV that ppl must pay, official customers with Sky cards now have lesser possibilities receiving them at all..? Must say that I'm disappointed if that stays like it!
Damn, why not transfer them all, except shopping channels Qvc like etc...
Sorry but must state my pair of cents!

                Re: Astra 2e

Triad and Rizwan I totally agree with you, however the channels in question are on 2a and this is the one that is destined to move to 23 east so all is not over.
All of these will probably move to 2e the testing reports on 2e currently at 43.5 e are all over the place so it looks like we will have to wait until it moves to it's final position at 28.2 to get a definite answer. so all we can do is wait and see as Rizwan said I can't see them wanting to lose the revenue.

Sky UK has more then 8 mill. subscribers in Britain only... So maybe it's not so hard understanding why they eventually can afford it, at least some of the channels...
And Rizwan, you write all in bolds..!?

The true is that they don't really care about their customers,
They care only about Britain's customers.

All services of them are for a restricted area of uk , and little from europe.
                    What about about south europe?
Why I have to buy a 3m dish in order to receive Astra ?

Probably because Sky service is only meant for reception in the UK and Ireland.
They do not have the licence to broadcast outside of this. Unfortunate for anyone trying to receive elsewhere ,but, a simple fact of life, Expats living in continental Europe are not really of any concern to them.

                        Re: Astra 2e

I think that we all understand how upsetting it can be if we lose channels. Think about it if all providers only made there reception available to their country, I think that we all be very unhappy. With 28 east we just have to wait and see,
There will always be fringe reception, but who knows when 1n moves to 19 east, it will very soon will everyone in the UK lose D+ Canal+ etc and so it goes on.

Lets wait and see guys there are a lot of rumours going about.

                        Regards nml

                          Hi nml

I agree with your post, you are right.
But unfortunately it's not a rumour that the channels already are moving to other transporter, it's a fact.
There are many channels so far that are missing for me and I'm sure that it can be even worse than now.

Hi kalpikos I know that it is not a rumour that the channels have moved but the satellites they have moved to could change because they are definitely going to move ie 1n and 2a.

Now the strange thing is that the transponders that have moved to 2f are being tested at 43.5 east on 2e.

so don't give up yet mate, nobody knows where we will end up.

Looks like they are testing the spot beam today, hopefully they will finish testing sometime this week and begin the move to 28.2 East.

I will post again when it is moving.
