Satellite signal has 100% coverage. Cable TV or Fibre Optic Broadband will never be in villages and low populated areas.

well if you got internet to use satellite with "full" options then all others (cable-fibre) are easy to come.

In France we have a little package like Absat for 5eur , but it's not really a big deal. Even Freesat with their FTA Channels is better.
Let see what will bring Tesco in quality and quantity.

Every technology and every media have its own importance and i dont think so that the end is coming because Tesco have some very cheap offer.

The future will be the cable (specially with the fiber) but the satellite will never die because it covers all the areas where the cable does not arrives. Regards

The point of the thread was not technology but getting something for free, if there is a price on a product and is cheap you will get a lot of customers, but if the product is dear you will not get as many customers, but if like Tesco you give the product free you will have queue's a mile long, as soon as Tesco announced that they where going to give sports free BT the dearest phone company in the world announced theirs was going to be free.
