If you are getting more freezing with the F5 then it may be it is not as good as
the dm 500 in it connecting to the internet, tip that seems to work with some
people is set the channel on the router between 1-6 the Chinese boxes seem
to work better with the lower range of channels.

The picture quality should be better on the F5 then on dm 500, on your F5 remote
have you tried pressing the video (v) format to see which gives you the best result.

I am not using wifi and no problems with freezing.Thanks anyway!
Quality of SD channels seems ok at 576i.I think i need a better TV as well!
