HELP! Problems With Skybox F5 Scrambled Channels

Hi new member here and first post, so let me start by saying hello to you all!

Ok I'm still very new to all this so bare with me. I got my Skybox F5 yesterday through the post, and literally from 1pm till 4am. Tried to get the scrambled channels to work on the box, been pulling my hair out.

I searched and found all the FTA Channels and the Sky Channels on Astra 1C and Eurobird 4A. The FTA Channels are all up and working fine, including the HD ones except all the Sky Channels are scrambled.

So eventually after doing a lot of reading up, on the c-lines, I made a list of the server c-lines from Satlovers on here in the CCcam.cfg. Put it on my UBS stick and uploaded and saved them into the box.

Currently my Skybox F5 is wired by Ethernet Cable to my laptop and connection bridged. Now I have tried activating different C-line servers and at first I was getting them as showing as Offline. However a few I tried, changed from Offline to Login

However I have not had any actually say Online I tried a couple of the free trial c-lines from a couple of the pay sites around the net. However they didn't work either and showed as Offline.

The Network Local Settings all the IP, Mask Gateway and DNS's are automatically filled. I have turned the DHCP on as well and clicked ok on Apply. I'm currently using a BT Hub for my internet and I have even reset the router and reconfigured the settings.

However I'm still having major problems and need some help and advice?

Welcome to forum mate. First of all, if i understand you correct you have copied more then one cline from satlover and put it to your cccam.cfg. Now this is really not a good idea. If you had read the rules it is clearly stated that you can only use one cline at the time or you will get banned. However i advice you to delete all the satlover cline form your box as fast as you can and maybe you are lucky and have not get banned.

For you connection problem mate, can you try to ping the ip adresse of your box and see if you get connection, if yes then network is probably ok. Could you maybe try connecting your receiver directly to your router/modem?

Remember the free server you find on internet like satlover free server, is overloaded with to many users and therfore you will get to much freez. Try satlover server at 04:00 PM because that is when they renew and not many users on it.

Ok thanks for the quick reply thecrazybandit. I think the Internet Connection side is not so much the issue. As some do show as Login.

The video's on the ******* app don't load, but apparently that's a bug or something?

Hey duhoki how do I go about ping the IP address of the box?

Re: HELP! Problems With Skybox F5 Scrambled Channels

Welcome to the forum generalzod, have you tried to get ******* this is to
check that your stb is connected to the internet, you don't have enough posts
to access the better servers so lines you use will be prone to freezes please
remember only to use one line per server from satlovers or will get banned.
I will assume you know how to activate your clines remember to reboot your
stb after activating, in your network setting see what the ipaddress of your stb is note
it down then from your pc using cmd mode type in ping ipaddress this will show
if your stb is seen by your router.

ipaddress will look like this 192.***.***

ps just seen your post use go here to see where you can download the
          latest firmware to fix *******.

Liked my post then push the sigpic button.

Thanks mahrkpat, ok I have ping the IP address and comes back with 4 replies. Sent 4 packets and received 4. So I'm assuming that it's communicating with the box.

Ok with the c-lines, is it ok to copy and post a load of them into the Ccam.cfg file at one time. Then just tick to activate one at a time. Till I find one that works?

I have never seen to be able to get the ******* or the Weather app working in the Skybox F5, it's not making a connection there.

Then you have connection to your stb mate. Try connecting one cline at the time. Also you might want to try connecting to satlover server at 4:00 PM today and see if you get connection.

I have not used this receiver and dont know if it is bug in the receiver that wont let ******* and other app connect to internet, but have you updated to latest firmware?

Am I right in assuming you have a motorised set up, try just using
one line at a time satlover lines open more satellites then just 28.2e
go to another satellite and see if the $ channels clear on those satellite
                your connection is fine.

Try this site to get latest firmware to fix ******* weather app:
                __http://skybox.cc/down.asp

ps use lines that are trying to log on

i think first make sure internet connection is OK. then i suggest you use good cline i mean you make sure your line server working good and also check ping time. however may you connect to internet but if your ping time high you have problem for open chennels and then use last firmware and EMu.

                      Hi General Zod,

Try connecting your F5 directly to your router by ethernet cable and see if you can connect that way.

Friends we already found OP is connecting to the internet and he is connecting
using the ethernet cable the problem maybe with the quality of lines he is using
for testing his stb maybe our suggestions have helped and he can confirm?

He states he can ping his box, but it is connected directly to the laptop.

Isn't the case that he would be able to ping the box this way regardless of whether or not he has internet connection?

Thanks I did not read properly he has connected to laptop then a bridge
connection could cause a problem (ip for stb & laptop same?) maybe OP
have to invest in wifi dongle or homeplugs.

Exactly as you write. Pinging does not matter whether you are connected to the Internet. You can check this in your local network.

Make a test with a friend who has a card in the local.
