Re: HELP! Problems With Skybox F5 Scrambled Channels

I had the same problem on my skybox when I entered the c-lines manually, once I figured out how to update via the usb they worked fine. What worked for me was saving my c-line as a CCcam.cfg file and not a text file (save as type: All Files - not -Text Documents) and then I was able login...
I tried what you did Gazstella, unfortunately I'm still getting only the Login. Is there a special button I should be pressing for it to go into that server?

Have you managed to get ******* to work on your box yet per mahrkpat post #23?
Unfortunately the ******* is not working on searches after doing the SKYBOX_F3_M3_F5_3601HD_CMT_130327079B update..

Could it be a certain setting in the BT Hub that might be affecting me getting in?

I have heard of something on the net called Gladiator SSSP anyone use it and is it safe to download and install?

Could you try to ad your receivers IP to DMZ server option within your router. When you do this it will open all ports to your receiver and wee can see if it is working. If you dont have DMZ server option within your router, then you have to port forward ports(cccam port) to you receiver to open it up for inncoming connections.

If you are still having problems connecting to ******* then I still think that your
stb is not connecting to the internet. Have you made the correct settings for
        bridge connection on your laptop?

I have a win 7 and this is what you do for that:

1.Go to Control Panel>Network and Internet>Network Sharing Center
        2.Go to Change adapter settings
3.Choose your wireless Network Connection and right click properties
        4.Click sharing tab
5.Make sure the first option is not ticked only the second option is ticked

If first option is ticked this will not allow you to make bridge.

I received my Wifi adapter today, plug it right in, put in my password. BANG! ******* weather App working. One of the server c-lines I activated changed to ONLINE! Yay! However went to one of the Sky Channels said Scrambled. Got ESPN channel on for literally a split second but scrambled again. The wireless signal on the wifi adapter I bought is about 86%.

if you use a free cline this is what will happen. you need a premium account or a lot of useful post to get better clines.

Just trying a free-line from another site. Wow!!!! All the channels are working now. Just watching Discovery Channel and touch wood. Not cracking up at all. Wow!!! I'm definitely going to stay, hopefully I might be able to help other users in future.

Now got to figure out how to get it to connect with the ethernet cable using the Homeplugs.

                  hi generalzod

most homeplugs are plug-and-play, so shouldn't be a problem ; just make sure they're on the same electrical circuit (phases)

and ... If I were you, I'd delete the link you mentioned here above

Re: HELP! Problems With Skybox F5 Scrambled Channels

Got it all sorted now, changed around the wires for the aerial and satellite dish. So got the dish and Sky on the big TV near the router. I paid for 2 months with from a site. And the server line has been working fantastic! I get the odd freeze and picture break up.

However my signal is 90% and the strength green bar is at a steady 75%-76%

I still however can't seem to get the box to connect and work with the ethernet cable for some old reason to the router. However works perfectly with the wireless adapter.

Are you sure your router has the latest soft on it? if so, try to re-install.

Can you test with another router?

I'll have a check with regards to the software update on the router, unfortunately can't try on another router as don't have one and I'm using BT Hub.

Update the latest update firmware is installed on the BT Hub router.

your signal is great. as far as for the ethernet a router restart may do the job, also on my old dm500 i was told to plug first the ethernet wire and then the power cable and most time work better.

Can you try with a different ethernet cable?

The one you are using may be faulty?

After the purchase of any of the router, the manufacturer of the equipment recommends that you install the latest version of the software, otherwise, the router may not work correctly.
