@bokkie nice thanks for the link,
I guessing it would be around £350 unless they don't care about their competition

I agree and will be buying the DUO2 which not only has pedigree but will also have all the features the Ruby is boasting + we know it will support EMU's. Then again as Marusys is the parent company to Vu+ we can assume the Ruby will too.

Can't see why you would need XBMC on a sat box all you are doing is dividing what you can do with your sat box. you all know what you can do on a sat box.
On xbmc you can get all the latest films, you can get the sly channels. you can get all the music you want with, it automatically getting you all the covers and tags and lyrics for the music and file them in a duke box and it will do the same for the films,
You can get all the tv channels from around the world etc, etc, but remember all this is a big draw on your ISP not like a sat box minimal broadband usage.
The best way foe XBMC is run it on a comp you have just finished with, if you have upgraded and put a graphics card with hmdi out on it you will get a gig one for around £15 ****** SCAN, Or if you have a old Xbox, not the 360 they are of no use and hack the box, Xbmc runs on it great.
All of these ways is far cheaper than a sat box with it on. also unless someone writes the code to use with a xbox you may as well stay with a sat that you are using already I have not seen any progs that XBMC can run sat if it can please reply with source that it can be downloaded from I would like to give it a try.

I won't be an ealry adopter with this stb, but will be montoring it closely. For those of us who don't want different gadgets for diffferent things a htpc/sat box all in one is appealing, if it can cut it that is.
My solo2 has movie browser plugin installed, which kind of replicates xbmc layout for all your movies, tv series, etc and I love it.

The support is unknown and the price is exaggerated. So it could be a "shot in the dark". Regards

I can't get used to that bit in front of the box, don't like it at all.
Reckon I'll be going for the Duo2 and then maybe get a xbmc4stb receiver down the line when it's established.

Two new photos of this box (credits to Ekko Star). Some will love the design and others not.

cpu memory data are very interesting

it's design for me is not very attractive.

supposed price looks so and so.

but above all the final judge for this kind of box will be given when we see the level of soft support that will have.

                                that's the key point.

i have seen in the past very strong linux machines at their time that never made big hit like others with better support
