VU+ Solo was a budget-priced single-tuner it was a popular enthusiasts' choice. It's a single-tuner Linux box..The VU+ Solo² is the follow-up to the excellent VU+ Solo. It features a double (fixed) tuner allowing you to watch and record programmes simultaneously.

In any case you would need two clines, at least if your server is here in satlover: if you choose an option for one single cline, decoding two channels at the same time would result in a ecm rate too high and you could be banned for that.
      Think about it !

I think the best way is the doSkyStar 2 HD, and if to be in multi monitor, I would advise a graphics card amdati, displays several ports, with which you can configure mutiple screens as you want for the two channels er two two two one or any combination you can think

          Yes you must be careful
you can ask Mr Satlover for a premium 2 clines which you will pay after telling him the problem. or you can use 2 providers for each cline.

Could also go for a vu+ ultimo or gigablue quad which could allow up to 4 feeds simultaneously.

The computer is already running with 5 monitors but I do not know what kind of cpu/gpu/ram consumption will have with two skystars, already have an analog tv card where I connect my cable receiver and notice that consumes many resources.

I have a good cumputer but as I use it with trading softwares I can not run the risk of pc freezing...

                My computer:
                I7 920 @ 4.2 wc
                6GB ram triple channel
GPU 1 GTX 560 Ti sc wc - two monitors
                GPU 2 HD5450 - two monitors
                GPU 3 HD5450 - one monitor

The motherboard has only room for one pci2 1.0 card (small pcie).

The vu+ is a great receiver but it is too expensive for me, I'll probably opt to buy two cheap receivers or else a box and a pci card.

The skybox f3 can send live streams to pc or someone can tell me a good and cheap receiver that can send live streams to pc?

Mate, go for two cheap receivers and buy two premium clines from Satlover.
I found that dvb software can render pc quite unstable, and you can't take the risk, considering your job.

ofcourse using 2 dvb card in same times cause to conflict and maybe dont works good
its better use twin tuner cards

Re: Choosing the best system for my needs

get TBS6981 or TBS6991 DVB-S2 Dual Tuner PCIe Card

                      Applications:
                      HTPC
                      IPTV Streaming Server

or you can get USB version
                      TBS5925 DVB-S2 TV Tuner USB
additionaly you can receive: ACM, VCM, Multi Input Stream, 16APSK and 32APSK modulations!

you can find these multi streams on 31,5E 12,5W...

make your own server with some local card, and then you dont need to worry about some ecm exceeded limits.

                      btw good computer, you've got
i have two machines with ATI 2x5850 and 5870+5850

they are good quality, not like china made, which like to burn.
and then dont forger for a bigger PSU.
                      HD-BOX FS-9200,SkyStar HD2 USB CI, Skystar2 90Fe Motor, 85Al Multifeed

Re: Choosing the best system for my needs

I didnt know there were these kind of cables... pretty cool.

I have already decided, for now I will only buy one single tuner receiver, after being installed and running I'll choose the solution to the second channel.

I spent the last hours analyzing multiple receivers that I can buy in Portugal, skybox/openbox is not easy to find here with good price (skybox f3 + usb wifi for 90€).

                        I found these alternatives:

. Golden Media Spark Reloaded 990 for 99€ - with this I know that I can send live stream to pc.

. BigSAT Golden 1 CR HD + usb wifi for 60€ - is the cheapest that I can buy in Portugal.

They are a good choice for the money? Would be more interested in the first option. Another option is to buy a skybox f3 in uk but if the receiver has some problems will be quite expensive to send it to warranty...
