how did you get softcam in your receiver. did you buy it with program already installed?
its better to solve your problems one by one, all will be easyer when you get connect with a pc so start from there. can you find your box ip?

        sorry mate,
but Yumatu hd receiver can't connect by the way you think
Your box can communicate with a pc only by RS232 cable.
This means, that you can only use this port to update the firmware of your box.
        Nothing more.
Only a dreambox can do what you want.

Guys thanks for the replies, i guess then i should give up on playing with ftp and telnet.

i have seen the wire in that link but what confuses me is which program and how will i install in the yumatu receiver?

which program decrypts bulcrypt encryption and how i can install that program

in other forms there was a talk about how some receivers are open source, emaning you can make adjustments on them and how some receiver software can not be updated, meaning i cannot use any other software on this yumatu other than the one that it came installed with

There are many really good budget receivers that will more than do the job if you are willing to spend money. You can get a TM5400Ci+ pretty cheap off ebay. This gives you Standard definition only however but the channels on Hellas sat are SD anyway. If you want a really good all rounder that is full HD, fast, reliable, and really sensitive tuner,, then the TM5402HD will do for £140...
