Hi after useing a diseqc 2in1 i saw my signal going down by 35%. i know that a diseqc Switch will reduse some of my signal but not so much. i have to say that i place it near the receivers inside the house because i coulnd pass the second wire inside the house so near the satelite dish was not a choise. is that the fault or maybe i got a faulty DiSEqC Switch?

Re: diseqc 2in1 reduse my signal 35%
I wouldn't think it would make much of a difference where you place the switch. There must be something wrong with your switch, cable or connection as you shouldn't get anywhere near that amount of signal loss.
Try your connections first. -

Re: diseqc 2in1 reduse my signal 35%
35% is defenitly too much. A normal switch reduces the signal not 5%. Your switch seems to have a failure.
Another reason may be the cable from switch to your box or the used plugs.

Re: diseqc 2in1 reduse my signal 35%
I use a 4in1 switch and have no significant loss of signal.
Only the lnb-voltage goes down a bit.If you want to make God laugh, tell him your plans!Comment

Re: diseqc 2in1 reduse my signal 35%
Certainly the switch being inside would not cause this problem, I use two 4 way Diseqc switches both of which are behind the receivers with a small signal loss relative to direct connection of cable, must be a duff switch.

Re: diseqc 2in1 reduse my signal 35%
Sorry for my silly question...but if the loss is 35%...what is 100%?
In other words, what did you have before, if you can say this?
Because if you mean that before you had a single LNB, all the story is nonsense, cause it's not a loss, but a different system (LNB is now not exactly in focus, to allow to have 2 "eyes")Comment

Re: diseqc 2in1 reduse my signal 35%
i had 75% signal before then i cut wire and place the diseqc switch and just connect it with the other wire on a dm7000 and the signal was 72-bu73% after i put the second wire on the diseqc switch and the signal fall to 35%. both ends shows the same signal on my dm7000 so its not my connection. i try to find it again on ebay but the seller is no longer a register seller. that may raise the chance that i got a faulty one.If my post was useful, please, use "Thanks" buttonComment

If not, as @easydigital said: they're relatively cheap, get a new oneComment

Re: diseqc 2in1 reduse my signal 35%
According to this threat I've just tested.
Result:
SNR with diseqc - 75%,
without the switch direct connected - 75%-76%
Nearly no difference with my new 4in1 switchIf you want to make God laugh, tell him your plans!Comment
