    Re: Jamming on HotBird

I have noticed on 13E that even from the same beam I get some signals at 45 % and others at 60%, can be useful as I use the weaker signal to fine tune the dish direction

Need Powerful Hardware or nice reflecting Parabola ?

If channel take much time to open, then its encryption issue or server problem, not related to Transponder's Signal Strength

    Re: Jamming on HotBird

It may be some kind of terrestrial interference: for example in Italy, especially in big cities, it's quite common to have problems on Hot Bird on a couple of SK* IT transponders.
I have some problems on 11355 V, probably because I am between two points connected with a terrestrial link on that frequency...

    hi toby

hmmm not good, not sure yet how, but needs some adjustment - other tp's I tested were acceptable, but afraid quality just not good enough (takes long to open scrambled channels, also zapping between sats takes long - expecting troubles in bad weather conditions).

about the channels, well - this is one of the transponders I wanted to test my new setup (weak ones and the ones I've had problems with earlier) - good explanation, or not ...

Seems I have lost a bit of quality, but for example on HB 13E I get no signal on 12475 H DVB-S2 8PSK 29900 3/4 - worked fine some days or weeks ago (old setup). Anyone can confirm? The green bar is flickering from 0 to about 50% and back - very similar the jamming problem discussed here.

    So curious about others ...
    that trans working for me.

    s > 75% Q > 88%

Channel name Kurdsat. After the jamming begin on hotbird this channel is "acting" as jammed all the time.
It has good signal. If it's a single channel, try to rescan the transponder.
