Re: Jamming on HotBird
hi
Some days ago I still got reception/quality problems on some HB TP's. Not sure, but how can you 'loose' channels after a scan? As far as I know most receivers just add the new found channels at the end of the channellist, but don't delete existing channels?

Jeanpick i suppose you are talking about hotbird yea? Nice if you could say what type of channels you have seen problem with, just to get a overview here
just to make it clear here, this thread is about jamming on hotbird channel and not about satlover server opening scrambled channel. Jamming on hotbird will make interferance on some transponder and therfore you might loose signal to channels.Leave a comment:

Re: Jamming on HotBird
I´ve had problems with no signal coming up on certain channels and when I looked at transponders all were red and not green, while other channels were fine. Thought must be something wrong with lnb or somethingm but then all went ok again.Leave a comment:

Re: Jamming on HotBird
This morning all SK* IT subscribers angry, because lot of channels don't go.
I've looked at some transponders signals and they look like affected by the same usual problem.
But (except subscribers complaints) I don't have any information about it.Leave a comment:

Re: Jamming on HotBird
I completely disagree all the latest posts: it's not a business, but politics problem.
And channels affected are so worry to loose audience (important not only for advertising, but also for political reasons) that they spent quickly a lot of money to rent extra transponders, even when normal people didn't recognize at all the problem, thinking to dish leaks...Leave a comment:

Re: Jamming on HotBird
The satellite owners wouldn't do anything about it unless they have a lot of complaints from the transponders owners. The transponder owners will only know the problem if they receive complaints from the genuine card holders to those channels (networks). I think the problem can be observed on fake cards as the origional card owners will complain as soon as they spot the problem.Leave a comment:

Re: Jamming on HotBird
gcm, I am with you on that there is a big problem. But the problem for this problem is that this is not effecting enough providers wordlwide to be such a level of problem that all sat providers go together and fight against this. I hope they find a way soon to get this away, but as far as i can confirm, there have been no jamming on the last week for me here in norway.Leave a comment:

Re: Jamming on HotBird

Re: Jamming on HotBird
The "problem" is that this is not a big problem for the sat providers and therfore not investigated enough for solution on this. However if this affect on many sat provideres, then we might see some actions against this from the satelit owners.Leave a comment:

Re: Jamming on HotBird
As far as I know not (up to now). But in future this may increase if the sat-providers can't find a good counter solution.Leave a comment:
