Re: Is V+ Solo a wise upgrade ?

    hi guys

I don't want to interfere here in your discussions, just want to add that I have the impression (as bokkie said) that stuff like this is a lot cheaper in germany. Just take a look before you buy and compare some prices. Also, nowadays most germans and their websites go in english ; also lots of them have no problems with support/repair with 'flashed' boxes (ref. other german forums). And, no I'm no Germany, it's just my finding after some searching for a while now.

Now back to topic/basic question: I don't have one of these, but as I've read here and on other places, surely right choice to go for the VU+!

if you can, buy a vu+ uno. best receiver, solo is also good, but uno is much better. get one original, and you won`t have any problems.

Yes, the vu+ uno is a brilliant stb, but it is more than double what satbeam wanted to spend.
Out of the two I would definately go for the vu+ uno as you could always upgrade it to a twin tuner when the twin tuner module is released.
It also has better specs than the solo, but both are great stb's
