Re: A question about installing for multi room watching

I recommend remove the fixed dish and install a second motorised 80cm dish if your site is suitable . If you install a twin LNB on both dishes , both receivers ( each with a switch could have the best of both worlds ) . One receiver acting as motorised master and other as motorised slave .

      Simple solution:

Install Motorised dish with twin inverto black ultra feed motorised into a 2 way diseq switch with one feed form the Sly dish in the second port.

Install second feed from motorised dish into another 2 way diseqc switch with another sly feed.

Now both boxes have the exact same viewing potential if box a wants to watch Sly and box B upstairs wants to watch 19 east no problem move dish with box A watch 19 east on box B

      Best of everything

I had the same problem with with kids. , but I did not want motor.
I solved it with 1 multifocus parabola, 4 twins LND and one 8/2 DiSEqC.
        We have 1°W + 13°E + 19°E + 28°E

that's a good alternative, if you know which sats you want to receive and don't want a motor ; atm I also use a multifocus dish and get 4 sats, but for now only mono lnb's ; as discussed in another thread: for me it's time to start looking for something more (motor) ...

Its all up and running guys 1 motorized dish 1 sky dish with home plugs all working ,well if talktalk does'nt drop out ,please dont use talktalk as your screen will be blank at least once each night ,probably the worst isp out there.
Who's worse than talk talk if i decide to move isp?

Just for the record regarding the Alsat package ,we never got the cable or the home plugs we paid for the wall bracket was aweful like a square plate on the wall with two foot **** supporting the dish and motor ,no other support at all the whole thing is flimsy and moves with wind ,we had to make extra support arms ,what we got was totally useless .
For me the 9000Hd is better than the 9900HD ,9900's are deaf to the remote you have to point it right at it ,also the display is very dull and its not easy to see if the machine is on or what.
Otherwise all is well that ends well.

I'm on vermin media 30 mb, and it's brilliant.
speed is a constant 29-30 mb and never drops off. Highly recommended to anyone looking to change isp.
Though if you're in scotland, as your flag says, don't think you can get them.

Talk talk say that they are installing fibre optics in my area later this year ,to have speeds of 30 mb would be great .

Today we just fitted a black Ultra lnb to my friends dish ,jeez what a difference signal up about 15% on sats and now getting some of the weaker ones, only £9.99 new of ebay inc post .

The Alsat 90cm mesh dish is working just as good as my 1.1 triax ,so i ordered one and it wont look as bad as the big solid one i have and if it works as well as the big one i will be well pleased so will my neighbours be.

mate there is no way on this planet a 90cm alsat dish with a BLack Ultra and a Triax TD110 with a Black Ultra will perform the same. The TD110 will trounce all over the 90cm all day long

I take your point i had a think about it earlier and wondered if its the fur trees in my garden that are cutting my dish's view.
Iam still impressed with the alsat dish it was getting the same transponders on Amos that i get,you have me worried now one wont work as well from here,i might have rushed into buying it.

I guess it depends on where you live. I had sly bb before and it was truly awful. Just managed to get about 7 meg of my supposed 24 meg service and was always dropping off. I've had no trouble with vermin at all. And they gave me £150 cashback for signing up.

trees in the line of sight would definately affect your receception.
Triax are very highly regarded dishes and I'm afraid to say that a 90 cm Alsat would not give the same results as a TD 110.
