What to receive on which sat + interesting sats?

hi guys

Did a lot of searching here, but still kind of looking for a answer on the following (thanks anyway @toby - did found usefull info in some of your posts). I intend to (don't know when exaclty, but I want to start preparing info + some hardware)) install a motorised dish. I +/- know what I can receive here in Belgium (eg satbeams - footprint).

My question basically is: which sats are the most interesting? With interesting for me personally I mean movies (with english or original audio), sport (and some ***** channels won't bother me neither .

Hi mate personally i use 4 east/ 10 east/ 13east/ 19 east/ 23/east/ 28 east/ 39 east 0.8 west/ 30 west, others will obviously have more preferences but these are the main sats for your needs

hi my friend pan.
if you are thinking about motorising your dish, go for it, what i find is every bird you can receive just have a selection of channels you actually want to view or your box will just get full of lotta crap, as you seem to be into films, check 7east beams for, salon 1,2,3 film (english) channels, there are many more film chns also on that bird.
there are plenty to search for so thats all i say here to give other members there views also, get motor, will make big difference to viewing options.

I like 19 east good films 13 east if you want ***** tv and sport 7east good film channels 1 west films ***** and sports

Hi M8, most interesting sats for me are 23E, 19E,16E, 13E,10E (for PL) and 0.8W. good selection of Films and Sport and also a lot of *****. If you want to expand this 39E and 30W will give you more sport. You will not be disappointed going motorized.

Best idea you have had pan have a look on Kingofsat there you will find every channel on every sat. Once you see how many there are especially Movies you will be wanting to start tomorrow best of luck pan.

my father-in-law has his motorised dish (1,5m + actuator) for about 25 years now (!!) - realignment: ok, sometimes (little adjustment to get better signal - only by RCU) - so, I'm pretty convinced ; fyi: just went there this morning to help (was stuck), he'd bought a new actuator and we even didn't need it, all works fine again, although the finetuning becomes more and more difficult.

thanks, yes did look at kingofast, so had an idea, but probably a lot of moviechannels aren't really worth looking at (personal opinion) ; yes I know, I want one, but some obstacles have to be won first

If you can get it, 26 e is great for free movies. I normally stick to 0.8w, 7e, 13e, 19e, 23.5e, 28.2e and 39e. Loads of movie channels all over the place.
Like Toby said, salon on 7 east is pretty good. sly italia on 13e, digital plus on 19e and of course sly uk on 28.2e.

Motorised is the way to go and motors are really cheap to buy compared to what they were.
I use a dark motor they are first class go for it get on the band wagon ,some sats seem to work better than others on the free servers.

Try to program as many satellites as you can pan once your motorised dish installed.
Most films/programs can be watched in original language (mostly english) when you look at given audio choise.
Normally in Belgium you must be able to get many sats like : 19e, 23.5e, 28.2e, 13e,7e,5e,4.8e,26e,42e,9e,7w,5w,30w,0.9w
I have 20 sats programmed. So you will have enough choise for movies, sports and other...

I know: bit of topic, but I'll ask anyway: will dish 1,0 or 1,2m be enough to get the sats you mentioned? I first thought of putting an old used 2m dish with an actuator (no idea so far of how to drive the motor), but I was told the result would be the same with a new 1,0 or 1,2m with Disecq motor. Any ideas, suggestions or confirmations welcome!

I've changed from static 90cm to 1m20 motorized.

19e and 13e would be the best sats to get. Many networks on these two satellites. Much more choice. many many languages. Films, sports, dramas, documentries, news, p**n, you nae it they have it. The trouble is tha they are overloaded and you will get many freezes.
