Freezing Skybox F3

Every one of the free c lines I have tried will give me about 5 sec of picture and then just freeze.
I have a cabled network and reasonable Internet speed.
Is this just to be expected until I gain enough posts or is their something else I could try to improve my success.
Any help for this newbie will be gratefully received

as you have low post count you are not really receiving the best servers yet, you will always find the low post count servers, (servers 3/4) quite glitchy as a few members on here try to stop people posting satlovers lines on web, see thread, satlovers clines on other sites, post 3, you will see how many traitors we caught, but when you reach 100 useful posts you will receive your own dedicated line just for yourself,(server 2) which greatly improves things.

I agree with toby, but want to add that there can be some changes (= less freezes) on different sats or channels with different encryptions. Just try it and you will find out, the more usefull posts one has here, the better the lines get ...

Tbh at the moment it is unusable but I appreciate the other stuff I've picked up on here so far and also the speed of response you get to any questions.

what sats are you trying to watch 28 east freezes a lot i watch 1 west a lot on server 4 and very little freezes

Sorry Toby, could you go into a bit more detail. At the moment I copy the cfgs from the list in here, run it through a check and the ones that come back 'green' i copy onto memory stick and add it into the config of the skybox.
Is this the best way?
Also what do you mean by different sats or channels?

try 23east, lines quite good there.
long time since i entered line, i use to do it manually, your choice, sounds like you doing it right, practice.

How are you getting lines from Server4 with a post count of 34 ?
You need 50 posts to be able to view them, or am I missing something ?

take a look at thread (satlovers clines on other sites) post 3, to see how many traitors post satlovers lines only meant for good honest members,
just a reminder here, if you see lines posted on other sites report to that thread, nick-name and site, that is why lines freeze alot.

Stu43 first of we need to know if its a fixed dish you have or motorised?? Also I hope you are only entering one cline into your box from here or one will cancel the other. Need more info mate before we can help you any further.

And, of course, there is the option to take the Premium service

Also, Stu, have you tried using the utility called stb_mm_lan which allows you to update lines etc from your PC? Makes it a bit easier...

And by the way: you probably know this, but remember to use only 1 cline from 1 server at the same time. Further, I don't think it's a good idea to 'check' the clines online (as said: not safe for the user and surely not for the forum -> see toby's post about the traitors thread -> spread worldwide -> freezes and more freezes ...).

Oh boy. Ok here goes and once again thanks massively for all the replies.
It's a fixed dish formerly used for SLY. At the moment the box is used for FTA Freesat.
The only 'server' I use as far as I know is from the free clines that I can get from this site.
I will stop using the line checker if that's the way to go.
I do only activate one at a time on the skybox using the CCcam Client Setup from USB.
These do freeze to the point where they are unwatchable, but I can't complain lol.
Is there a better way of applying the cfg files that doesn't involve copying from PC to skybox and back again?

Hi Pan1100 I realize that this is probably addressed to Stu43 but I personally do not use line checkers, if I am having a problem with freezing I just input a different line, takes about a minute to do so not exactly hard work.

indeed, my post was addressed to Stu43, didn't see your post between ; same here: when one line doesn't work: I simply put another manually into the box.

When you use only clines from here, you have access to server 3 (not 4).
