BT has recently won a bid to get £70 million from the govt to upgrade the broadban in the rural areas of the North Yorkshire. They would be able to provide about 70 mbps in the rural areas for home users and 380mbps for the business users. The service will be upgraded by 2015. Thats a good news for the rural areas where people can hardly get 1mbps.

Still running copper here as well crazy BTInfinty is copper from your home to the new Fibre cabinets and then from the cabinet its fibre back to the exchange thats how they get the speed now, once we have fibre to the home BT will eclipse virgin very easy.

Thats fine but its gets worse when you call the call center and it connects you to a far away village in India and they even dont know where to start from. The first question they ask you whilst you are on the phone with them " Is your landline working"?
