I'm testing a MVision HD-270CN for some weeks now, and looks very promising.

I don't know the spiderboxes, but as I've read they were similiar to the MVision.
Theres is also a Mvision HD-300 (NET and COMBONET). Difference with the 270 is that is has 2 CI-slots (but only 1 smart card slot).

depends what you want from a box really, im happy for now with a spider, as long as i can enter c/n lines for pictures, plenty chns, just a job finding the time to watch.

                hi

Does anyone knows - in great lines - the difference between eg the dm7020hd and others (like the mvision 270)? Did read a lot, but perhaps there's a comparison somewhere?

You can just use a DiSEQc switch with a single tuner for both dishes? I dont know a lot but I thought it would work.

                      hi

thanks, please keep us informed ; have 4 sats now, but I'm questioning whether to take 8 (or even 16) sats or a motorised dish (for later, still in discussion with the mrs).

My explaination to your other query was that instead of dual tuner you can use a Diseqc for both the dishes on a single tuner. Lets say,
Diseqc 1.0 Port 1 fixed dish
Diseqc 1.0 Port 2 Motorised dish (Diseq M1 Cascade is active)
                        It will work

so what your saying is i can drive the motor through a diseqc switch

why bother with a diseqc switch when a motor will do the job, no need for multiple switches etc, unless like rick o says likes to experiment, good for him.

Yes, It will work perfectly if you want to keep your fixed dishes and also your motorised dish then instead of using a dual tuner just use a single tuner with a Diseqc switch. But as Toby suggested no need for the fixed dishes when you have a motorised dish unless you have signal problem on some satellites and want to keep fixed dishes for them.
