dont really care if illegal or legal, ive never really been a boring good lad all my life, never will be,
all i personally want is some decent tv to watch, not really what they decide what we should see and have to pay for.

Even my Panasonic TV runs open source software as do Things like Humax PVR's it would only be a matter of time before 'our' hackers got one step ahead again. At least I hope so, most of us on here have had 'free' TV for years. Once we only had a couple of channels, now we have hundreds if not thousands. I actually wonder how many of 'us' there are, most folks seem unaware of what we have.

Make sure your box is capable of connecting wirelessly though.

Of course! Forgot about a laptop there. I was thinking of a box that has wireless capabilities.

Hi happy camper euro means every device that connects via your lan and including you lan box or wifi will have a mac address, including your sat box. MAC meaning media access control.

                              Hi Happy Camper,

It does work, but can be quite frustrating to set up.

First thing you need is a crossover cable to connect Spider to laptop - you cannot use a normal ethernet cable.
