    Re: pirate boxes

I doubt it ever will and if it did happen here then they would have to apply the same law for the rest of the EU states, And i doubt anyone else will take kindly to that. We may not like some of the EU rulings here in the UK but it does have its benefits sometimes

There are more important issues to tackle within europe. I don't think satellite boxes will be in the list.

        Re: pirate boxes

I think it would be very hard to enforce.

All that would happen is that boxes would be harder to get hold of and the price would consequently go up.

The sellers of the boxes in the UK are already very careful to state that they are sold as FTA only.

Recently Dreambox draw back all CAM's softwares used for share from their official images so you should take them from other places. I think that technology solutions for both sides are unstoppable nowadays - "cats-mice games" will never end

If your box has internet connection and capability of using sharing software
                    it is potential pirate box

If the UK government thought it was viable source of revenue they would do it, with the aid of ****** earth it wouldn't take long for the trained eye to spot the type of dishes we use, especially as government offices have access and use a version we'll never be allowed or licensed to use!
