    Key files edit

I am looking for a tutorial or info on how to edit key files e.g.Constant.cw & Biss.key. It would be useful to be able to create your own files using the keys that are based on the progs that you wish view yourself. Other than using an editor I am not too familiar with the format of the files so any help would be appreciated. Thanks

just use notepad and name the files constcw an constant.cw
and paste your own keys into them
and biss keys goes to softcam.key

As Vimmers says open with Notepad. Either change the file extension to .txt or change in properties to oepn with Notepad.

Edit the keys and then change the extension back.

Thanks for the reply but I am also looking for how each file is constructed to be able to understand the file.An example is 2600:000000:0001:0063:1FFF::03 27 02 2C 10 62 51 C3 03 27 02 2C 10 62 51 C3 which I copied from a Constant.cw file but I cannot follow this code because I do not know each of the elements. As there are a number of different types of code files in use do they not all follow similar patterns ?

I am not sure I totally understand you, or if you do not understand about these files?

The codes in the files enable your sat box to de-crypt the channels. The sat providers change the codes in their own encryption.

You might want to check the post a few below titled "How to edit key on Openbox S10/Skybox S10?" As pjmuk has very nicely attached a constant.cw file. You might be able to look at that and work out the format of how it is. How the keys are worked out, I haven't a clue!

              Re: Key files edit

Had a look at the posting mentioned but editing the file is not a problem. Most text editors will open the file with the cw extension so no need to rename.

When you look at each line in the file the format is 5 blocks followed by 16 hex address's. I was trying to find out how the five blocks relate to the programs which they interpret.

              Sorry to be a pain!
