personally i find it much quicher with remote, but everone to there own

If done correctly, it should definitely be quicker using the usb .cfg method vs entering on the remote.

I find entering clines into a spider box using usb to be an absolute doddle. I merely paste the cline from this forum into a config file downloaded from the spider forum on the memory stick. Takes all of one minute!

Thereis only 2 ways server config then usb or if you have time to spare punch it in with the remote

I use copy / paste and ftp, being a newbie I didn't realise that you could use a remote. The DM600 doesn't have a usb facility.

The only way i know in Dreambox to update cccam.cfg is using FTP.
Never seen it done with remote control or USB port.

I thought their were 3 ways you could update the dreambox, via the remote and manually typing it in, using usb and using FTP. Been looking into the dreambox as might get one depending how fed up I get with my openbox. But atleast with the dreambox the FTP uses a standard connection.

I think you have to press 8281 on the remote control to access the secret menu.

Been doing a bit of reading on the internet. Seems they are very prevalent in Africa. There is some modded firmware available, which you have to upload to the box and then you have to press 8281 on the remote to access the CS menu.
