Thanx for the instant response guys, at present I have a SD5000 which has been really good up until this year that is until "they" changed the service.

I am considering buying a 9000hd but want to see whats available first hence why have joined this forum.

To be honest mate the spiderbox has had its day really even the support is dwindling on another certain forum that fully supports it, if it was this time last year you may have have had a few good months service out of it but in its present form there are better boxes around the same price that outperform the spider.

            Re: Spiderbox

I can't really see that as it operates on a similar platform to other popular boxes.

If it was time to change the box then I would, from what I have read so far it is well capable!

you only have to read around to see how unstable it is with CCCam most users have to ask servers to provide newcamd so the box is more stable on a server.

I am not saying it is dead in the water what i am saying is for the price now there are cheaper and more stable boxes around and that work better with cccam than the spiderbox does.

It was only really worth its value when neuvo stream/ service+ was at its best.

Agreed service+ is clearing less hense why I'm now on here looking for more.

I now need to learn more about Cccam and newcamd as up to now things have been too easy for me because of spiderbox.

Another avenue I'm looking into is the blue dragon card as I still have my diablo and trusty technomate, as service + no longer clears nova.

Your not on your own there a lot of servers are finding it hard to clear nova even with blue dragon, I think the provider may be up to something along the lines of what happened with Sly Italia recently.

I dont know where you located in the UK M8 or what setup you have but the next best option for the footy with english audio would have to be viasat on 4 east, I clear it on a 1.1m triax but only just in heavy rain its almost non existent.

I'm in the SE m8ty and can get viasat ok, using an oval 120cm dish

You get a better signal than me then in the N.W i get around 58-60% SNR but with a heavy downfall it drops to around 40% and my CT ET9000 although a good tuner is not quite as sensitive as some and 40% snr is the receivers thresh hold for a good signal.

I need to invest in a 1.2m at some time
