Hello i just joined and my first post is to say i cant agree with you more hehehe
The plain truth is its all about making money and the next new supported reciever will soon appear for people to buy its the way of the world.
Pity we did'nt know then what we know now,but still the spider was'nt such a bad investment,i have had a lot of pleasure out of mine but did get a bit worried when i concluded why they were cutting the support, but thankful for small mercy's.

        Re: Spiderbox

The spider box is now running as good as it ever was,due to the new patch this month, Also you can do a lot more with this box, with a bit of research on most sat forum sites, and specialy on this site.

Although it's a different forum and really shouldn't be commenting on other sites, I find it strange that although they make and supply and maintain the box, the Spiderbox part of the forum isn't visible until you join up. Why hide it, if it's a box they actively sell.

Also with it's capabilities I'm surprised that card sharing isn't mentioned at all without the punishment of being banned and posts removed. Maybe the raid earlier in the year didn't help. They seem to be very vigilant now, and can't be seen to be promoting CS.

I think a lot depends on what country your server site is located.
Some countries you can get away with a lot more freedom.
Wherehas say in the UK everything is stitched up, so the money grabbers do not miss out on there cut of the money. and if your are to open you will get a court order a claim for damages.

Been hacking sats for over twelve years now and my own golden rule is to leave $ky alone, those bar$tards love a court case. But apart from that I think their programs are shite anyway!

300 channels and nothing worth watching, money for old rope thats why they constantly bug us to get more customers.
The last time i watched sky was on a quick start card over xmas then they got bumped 15 years ago or so when they first gave us the system for free, quickly learnt to put the dish on hotbird and watch free to air only 16 ch amstrad but all great fun.

I canceled my direct debit to greedy Rupert years ago for that very reason, since then I haven't looked back and got into a really good hobby by doing so.

Thing is although I can view his channels I don't bother cos like you I think they are shiite and no way worth 60 quid a month!

What has recently pi$$ed me off though, is that Rupert had to get his smutty grubby hands on F1, another ploy to try and force UK viewers into purchasing his over priced service.

Hi guys I am new to this sat thing and have bought myself a spider 7000hd it seems a good enough box. I see somebody mentioned the other forum i just about got a ban on my first post on that forum so from now on it's reading only. I can see I have come to the right place to get more channels than the service + people have to offer anyway hope we can be of help to each other in the future.

Depends on your budget and if you want a closed source box or a linux one, Closed source i would say technomate 5402HD a really good sensitive tuner and works well with both cccam and newcamd and has a lot of support.

As for linux then you have a minefield of receivers from dreambox to VU+ and so on.

                            The choice is really yours.

The Spiderbox is still a good box though! Good value for money too.

Perhaps someone wiser than me can tell if there are many boxes other than the spider that can act as a server?
