nothing to do with the fact if you use 2 different clines or not, but my experience is: watching a sd channel and recording another sd channel (fta or scrambled) works well - when I watch and record a hd channel, I'm also getting heavy freezes. I'm using usb, seems that's the reason -> speed to low due to power consumption or so. Might help you.
What box do you have? The usb disk have external power or only uses the energy of usb?

    regards

      Re: Freezing......

First step is to find out if your freezes are caused by ecm delay or it's something that has nothing to do with decoding.
You should look for two fta channels and repeat the test (don't know if channels were sd or hd, but you should recreate the same conditions).
If you still have freezes your problem is not related to ecm delay and you have to look for another solution (on a different receiver, I fixed the same problem just flashing a different image).
If your freezes disappear you can make a further test: look for two scrambled channels that are decoded by internal emu: if your recording is still good your problem is definitely due to ecm delay.
As kalpicos said, you can't assign a single cline to a given tuner, but you can assign a single cline to specific channel using cccam.prio file; of course you have to edit the prio file when channels to be recorded are different ... but it's better than nothing ...

            Re: Freezing......

Freezing picture can be slow cam or slow reading cards or low ping times. Most data from A2 has lower ecm because the cards has a quicker prosessor. Some thinks you can speed up like better smargo and a strong vps server with slackware for a fast connection and low ping times and a lot of users.
For the receiver side a good internet connection with mtu 1450 , low ping times and a good oscam version.

Ubuntu is for the LaZy OneS
