 Re: Technomate TMS-1500 CI*

Does it have USB input available?

I believe there is available support for it aslong as you can find a way to apply a patch. If it has a USB input then I can advise you, if it doesn't, then there could still be a way but it involves linking to PC via a data cable and I am not exactly sure how to go about doing that...

 Re: Technomate TMS-1500 CI*

 hi

Does it have cardslots and/or CI-slots (I'm thinking maybe of a card such as a fun or a cam such as a Diablo cam) -> see Smart Cards- and Camssection? If course you'll need a programmer (eg CAS 3+). I suppose it has a CI (as model is '...CI*' ) )
I suppose there's no internet connection either.
If you don't find anything here, or no replies here: take a ****** (box + cam) - sure there's more info to find there!

 Re: Technomate TMS-1500 CI*

 hi toby69

Sorry, but here I kind of disagree with you: I still use a card in one of my boxes (ok, as back-up, but it still works) - even my cam does still work (but not used anymore). You're right there's not much to see anymore, but saying that there's 'nothing to view' isn't completely correct.
But I think this isn't the right place/forum for this discussion ; that's why I referred to eg ****** in my previous post.Comment

 Re: Technomate TMS-1500 CI*

I use these cards (different cards needed for different packages) for opening some channels of ORF, Austriast, canalsat and RAI (but don't understand italian)

Correct, nothing in eg english or dutch, so you're right, but wouldn't say that not many people use it.

As said, only use it as back-up and didn't check the last weeks, but before 100% sure it was still working.Comment

 Re: Technomate TMS-1500 CI*

I have my old TMS 1500 set up in my bedroom. I find it very handy when adjusting my dish as it is just outside my bedroom window and saves running up and down the stairs to check adjustments on my spiderbox, while it doesn't clear many channels I can see immediately the signal strength on the major sats to fine tune.

 Re: Technomate TMS-1500 CI*

he means he uses it as to use as a signal meter to be near a portable tv screen instead of walking up an down stairs to check, i did this once for neighbour when a builder had knocked his sky dish out of line, on the extension roof just below dish with portable tv, job done in five minutes.Do not send me iptv/cline requests,

 Re: Technomate TMS-1500 CI*

Little addition (bit of topic, but think can be helpful): there are RS232/USB-converters that don't work (I know from experience) - better is to use the serial port (if your computer/laptop has one of course), if not: first try to check if the converter really is working.
