SuperstarMac has developed a new program that downloads data from kingsofsat and creates a Spiderbox channel list

If you decide to download this program, please read "INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS.txt" and "KNOWN BUGS.txt"

TESTED ON 7000HD and USALS ONLY


By downloading and using this program you have read and understood this:

DISCLAIMER:

Make sure you backup everything before loading the Spiderbox UDB file
and if you have any worries, there is an Official Channel Editor available.


NOTE:When you view the created UDB file through the official channel editor, you only
see up to 6299 channels, they do show-up and work on the spiderbox as its capable
of 9800 channels

The Email function does not send any personal details, it is used purely for Spiderbox and Dreambox notification
reasons. If you are unsure, dont fill in your details.

- Fixes automatically creates diseqc motor positions according to the order of the satellites

- Ethernet Favourites updated as there was missing channels

- you can now save your favourites and import them after a new satellite download.

- DELETING CHANNELS FROM SATELITES AND FREQUENCIES HAS BEEN DISABLED DUE TO A PROBLEM WITH SAVING FAVOURITE INFORMATION IN THE UDB FILE
Your favourites end up random channels.

- Added delete channel/multiple channels to "FAVOURITE Channel List Right Click Menu" (you have to reselect the favourite to update the view)

- Added Import/Save Favourites to TOOLS menu

- Online Update ready (using a freehosting site so no idea how reliable it will be.)

- Improved the Automatic Update feature (need some way of viewing progress)

Update Instructions

* Copy and overwrite MacSatelliteManager.exe and Database.accdb to your program directory

* you will lose any custom channel data, save your favourites and import them again

- DUE TO A BUG YOU ARE LIMITED TO 6299 CHANNELS, YOU WILL BE UNABLE TO CREATE A UDB FILE WITH MORE THAN 6299 CHANNELS FOR SAFETY REASONS

- Started Populating Dreambox Enigma2 information (This is on hold until the above bug is fixed)

- Viewing download progress of updates now fixed

- Fixed deleting channels from sats/frequencies, the database is checked for changes before creating a udb file, this keeps the time required for updating the database to a minimum. (still takes a long time, needs improved)

- removed the need to refresh the favourites after deleting channels

- "Concurrency Violation" when creating saving a new database Channel Data already present.

- 6299 Channels is the maximum the Spiderbox will see (it is capable of 9800)

- Drag and Drop channel Re-arranging can be a pain (Definetley needs fixed!!)

- After Drag and Drop, you need to click twice on the channels table to select a row.

- Due to XML read/writing for FAVOURITES saving/importing, "\" is an illeagal character

- Channel Numbers arent updated in the sats/favs when channels have been added/deleted


NOT A BUG: favourites are too slow too create due to scanning through the database looking for channel names and kingsofsat ID's.

NOT A BUG: takes to slow to clean database after channels have been deleted.(reason as above)

- Fixed 6299 Channel Restriction(tested on sats 45E to 30W(9778channels) - Thanks to BillyBits latest Channel list which was used for comparing UDB files.

- Fixed Auto refresh of channel numbers in sats/freqs/favs when deleteing channels

- Fixed random character issue at the end of some channel names when viewed through the spiderbox

NOTE: If you are deleting channels, delete ALL YOUR UN-REQUIRED channels before closing the application or creating a udb file, it doesnt matter if it is 1 channel or 1000 channels you have deleted, cleaning the database takes the same amount of time

It is not too bad when its 2/3/4000 channels in the database but when you get to 9/10000 then it takes a while

Deleting from sats & freqs still needs a lot of improvement.

- Added display name above the channels table when you select a satellite/frequency/favourite (info from blueking)

- Added ability to Add/Edit/Delete BISS KEYS so you are no longer required to do this manually (Thanks to BillyBits for finding this issue and his channel list for the keys)
(BillyBits gave me test channels on 42E(TRT1, TRT3, TRT Haber, TRT HD), this is out my range of sats, it needs tested!!!!!!!!)

- Fixed auto refresh of channels table when editing name/hd/scrambled status in right click "edit channel" menu (info from blueking)

- Added "Parental Lock" to right click menu on the channels table (no visual display for RAM reasons at the moment) (info from iwols)

NOTE: If you are deleting channels, delete ALL YOUR UN-REQUIRED channels before closing the application or creating a udb file, it doesnt matter if it is 1 channel or 1000 channels you have deleted, cleaning the database takes the same amount of time. It is not too bad when its 2/3/4000 channels in the database but when you get to 9/10000 then it takes a while Deleting from sats & freqs still needs a lot of improvement.
