currently i am connected to my router via a ethernet cable however know i want to move the satellite receiver downstairs i have a couple of options
powerline- however recently released that my upstairs and downstairs have different electrical circuit so don't think it will work.
wireless- i have got a wireless dongle but i don't think that the connection is going to be any good as there are a lot of walls in the way but will give it a try tomorrow
wireless repeater- this is like power line however it will be set up to catch the signal of the main router the will amplify that signal for me to receive full connection however i have not heard of anyone connect a satellite box to a repeater and also not sure if it is dhcp enabled
does a receiver have to be connected to a dhcp enabled router
so can someone tell me the best thing to do and getting a ethernet cable and connecting is not a solution and so is movie the router.
i have a skybox M3
