Hello evrybody,

Got yesterday new openbox s12hd pvr original.(controlled with chipid)....did new update of firmware and now my receiver is dead ..doesnt react just red light.on......

some idees how to solve the issue

that sounds bad news my friend,
i know you quite experienced, can you even do factory reset with remote and try again, if completly dead, as sasho said, exchange.

So it's definitely an original? Sounds like the stb is bricked.
Send it back to seller or try a factory reset is probably the only options available.

You will need a null modem cable and then connect you openbox to a computer then follow the instruction from this link

Remember to get the latest clone safe firmware your openbox might say original but may not be.

Thanks a lot for the answers.......
the first think wat i did is to verified if the reciever clone or no...and it is original with chip id ,i think i have to use special cabel for it.
And send it back not realy the best i was waiting almost 6 weeks befor i got my receiver.

I think give the steps listed by Mahrkpat a go and if that doesn't work contact the seller.
6 weeks is a long time to wait.

Yes i know 6 weeks is to much and i payed also 18euro for douane ,but first have to arrange were to buy the special cabel

Most computer shops should have this cable and if you unbrick your box don't forget to do a back up before trying out anything new on your box.

still looking for this cabel (not the RS 232 i have it all)on the net but coldt find nothing,

if you see the backside of the receiver ,next to the tuner,you will understund wich cabel im looking for it.

Netherlands? They don't deliver there?
All I can think of is trawl through aliexpress and see if someone does.
Maybe even contact them and ask.
Or contact your seller to see if he has any.
