Making a serial cable isn't very difficult, just needs some soldering and the right connections of course ; normally should be nullmodem = crossed (without handhake: connect the 5 and cross the 2+3).
Don't want to advertise, but perhaps C*nr*d has this (if they do, will surely possible in the Netherlands).
Also in some manuals the 'type/connections' of the RS232 is mentioned.

send back to seller

If you do have a guarantee you would be better off sending back or even exchange for f3 better tuner still support from manufacturers and about the same price.

You said it took 6 weeks to arrive where did you order it from?

Otherwise good luck in diy RS232 cable.

I'm pretty sure that number two on the dsub9 should go to Tx on the receiver, and number three on the dsub9 should go to Rx on the receiver.

Tx(transmit)-->Rx(receive)

And

Rx-->Tx

but now i got this error after mading the cabel..using the EromUpgrade.exe
having same error ,try few times

Set stb memory error
click back to try again...

Hey ,

Yes i did it..issue fixed..made the cabel put new FW and it work...it was really nice experience....
I will try to put littel tuto with some pictures(i made it),have to got some free time.

Is it not an original receiver then.
Did you have to reflash it with a clone safe firmware?

I reflashed with original FW ..put new list of favorite....
When i got some moment..i wil put some picture of the procedure...
