    Re: OpenBox Other Files

    hi guys

Strange, maybe @microchick: you can let @robingazi know which firmware/cccam you have (if you can find the cccam-version), so he can try with this?

So, if I get it right: audio on fta is ok, only not on cccam? Probably won't work, but you can try anyway: trying to get sound of eg AV-receiver or other home cinema system (eg digital optical cable or standard stereocable) - just a thought (if it really is the cccam-version, I have no more ideas). Did you check all possible settings in the audio-menu of your box?

@pan1100, Yes i would let him know which firmware I am using at the moment.
My idea is to do check your HDMI cable. If you are getting channels and there's no freezes or glitches then your cccam.cfg and firmware is ok.
Check a FTA channel if you are getting audio on that? because FTA doesn't involve any CCcam. If you dont get audio on FTA channel either then It comes down to your HDMI cable. Check your box with a simple SCART cable (Hope the TVs support SCART in BD).
      Let us know please?

I've had the same problem and just rebooted the box and it was okay after that. Don't think its a cccam problem more like firmware you ask me.

FTA is fine...I get audio and video albeit with sync issues. It's only when I'm on cccam I get video only on some channels, not all. I have done a bit of reading around and ******ing and people are saying that it is due to Openbox S9 using cccam version 2.1.4. They say that upgrading to 2.2.1 would solve the problem.

My problems are with Reliance Big TV on Measat on 91.5e and Dish tv on 95e and 100.5e.

I do not have cccam access (or footprint coverage of) to other satellites with my equipment, hence can't test. I don't have a home theatre but I have tried the yellow, red and white cables...had the same issue.

The Asian S9s don't come with SCART. I tried a different HDMI cable had same issue. Freezes are few and far between and largely due to my overburdened poor internet connection and the server being in Pakistan. No freezes on FTA though.

I have a Openbox S11, therefore not sure if the software will work on S9?
There is a seperate forum for Openbox with Differnt sections for different models. Have a look if you can find any solution.

                  hi microchick

Does the openboxes have eg an RS232 port (or perhaps possible by usb?) with which you can always re-install original soft, in case something bad happens? So the risk is lower, if it hasnt': indeed one needs to be very careful before flashing - I advice searching if the version worked by others ...

Yes Pan, Openbox has always a RS323 port. I have mentioned it in one of my posts if something goes wrong then you can always upload the origional firmware with that port.

Tried it but everything is the same...it appears all maincodes of S9 firmware are from August 2009.

Before you make any changes to your box make a backup. Insert a usb stick then "Dump" your image or whatever your backing up onto the stick. Simple to reload just "update via usb."

                            my tip also!

Even better to take a back-up for everything you can (also settings and channel lists). You never know what can go wrong ; I periodically try to do this (when I don't forget it). I always also have a copy of the original soft for my boxes (hope never needed, but just in case).

Hi, i have the s9 running cccam 2.1.4 and dont have any problem whichever sat i go on, i had f/w from the end of july 2012 on it until a couple of weeks ago, then i upgraded to the april f/w from the chinese site.. Have you tried the obvious and pressed the audio button on the remote; i know it sounds a bit simple, but easily overlooked. Also within the menu go to tv system and check tv settings in there, mines set up through hd lead and settings are as follows
                              video resolution = 1080i_60
                              aspect mode = auto
                              video out = yuv
digital audio out = lpcm out

long shot i know but worth a look.

That is a very old firmware. There are a lot new firmwares out for openbox S9. I have noticed that S9 is widely supported box. You need to upload the latest firmware and then check your audio. Is there any other way you can check audio on your TV like RCA connection?

@brogan, I dont know if theres already a firmware out for July 2012 or not.
