Re: HELP!!! My DM800 don't boot

First of all if it is clone please look for a proper image with the bomb removed.

    Second step is to :

Turn the box on while helding the front power button pushed

You'll see on display an IP adress

Then enter that address in browser and click firmware update

Browse for a good firmware (something that worked before)

Reflash, everything should be OK now

      ok ... fine

      I see:
      Code:
If you see this, your box didn't boot to Linux.
Unless you interrupted the boot process, this usually means that you have no valid operating system in flash.
Don't panic! It's not a problem. You can just flash a new version and everything will be fine!
Otherwise, you can boot from network or USB.
If you're about to give up, you might get help at the Dream Multimedia Support board!
Currently there aren't many other features...

You can download your current flash contents (64 MB) here, but please don't expect to be able to flash it back. It's merely a debugging feature.
This device's Serial Number is 76204, and was built on 2010/12/08.
      and I download a Flash
and the DM is a clone

      then...

      help !!!!!

thanks ... I'm in panic ... I bought this device 5 days ago

Just read the above post, do the steps indicated by me and tell me exactly what happens, this should work.

If it is a time bomb then you have to use jtag as far as i know to recover the box

Also for users having problems with "NO CA FOUND SECOND STAGE BOOTLOADER'" or "FILE TO BIG" then you can save your dreambox by using this procedure :

                1. connect dreambox to router

                2. use crossover cable connect router to laptop / PC

                3. open dreamup

                4. connect null modem

                5. connect power to dreambox while holding silver power button till dreamup has fully loaded

                6. find IP of box (i used dcc) mine edded up being a very strang 192.168.1.6

                7. put this in dreamup

                8. open enforcer

                9. load image and flash

It should but is not, read again more carefully, maybe you'll see the trick.

Tested and it only works in this way and using crossover cable in conjunction with serial

Use a null modem cable to connect using the above tips.

sim 2.01 pathed images can we found using the website on the display panel when you boot.

If you don't use the above trick, in the webinterface the process will hang and in the dreamup you'll recive "No CA" message and "File To Big"
