Re: Which is the best codec?

i using this codec with progdvb, mpeg2 and H264 cyberlink 10 is good with EVR custom Render, Mpeg audio and AC3 and AAC work good with fddshow audio decoder.
    Code:
    video Renderer: EVR custom
    MPEG-2: CyberLink Video Decoder 10
    H264/AVC: CyberLink Video Decoder 10
    Audio Renderer: Default directsound device
Audio Renderer for AC3: Default directsound device
    MPEG(audio): fddshow audio decoder
    AC3: fddshow audio decoder
    AAC: fddshow audio decoder
    MP3: fddshow audio decoder
    hope be useful for you

if you setup powerdvd , cyberlink codec will install automatically.(i recommend you PowerDVD 10 or 11)
and for fddshow you can download and install latest version of K-Lite Codec Pack Mega (its freeware). download from official site:
        Code:
        http://www.codecguide.com/download_kl.htm
download latest version from above link and download update (if its available) from this link:
        Code:
        http://www.codecguide.com/klcp_update.htm
and i recommend you use ARCSoft Demux if you use progdvb

Is it not possible to use fddshow to decode all the HD ?
I never use codec pack : they install many bullshit on your computer that you don't need...

I use the Microsoft DTV_DVD Video Decoder. 25-30% of the SD and HD codec

Yes. By downloading K-lite codec pack you've got a variety of codecs which are suitable for every use.
This is the most downloaded codec package. It includes everything you need

If you use alt-dvb 2.2 application with cyberlink video decoder 10 0r some decoder like it, your cpu usage will be lowest.
