DM500HD Genuine or DM8000 clone ?

Hi guys,

for a price quite equivalent, what would be better, a clone dm8000 or a real dm500HD? Price of a dm8000 is near 480€, and the price of a dm500HD is 450€ (dm800se is not available and will be much more expensive).
Concerning the missing usb on the 500hd, it is still posssible to sold an usb female wire, but this will cancel the warantly. If suppose that a dm500hd could have an usb connector, there is no difference between both except the number of tuners (PVR, Divx, ... normally same performance).
Who has tested a clone of dm8000 and is it really reliable?
Several web shops in the Uk don't have it anymore. Is seems that this clone is produced in low quantity by only one chinese factory (most of the alibaba proposition seems fake, I found only two having a concrete price and no Western Union payment), but there is still some available in Uk (not so much).

It's all up to you mate. If I were you I would consider buying a VU+ instead of a clone or an original dm500hd. There is no point in buying a dm8000 clone if you still have your dm800 clone...

A friend of me want to buy an HD dreambox.
The dm800 is not really reliable (too much heat, slow processor, ...) comparing to new dm based on the mips400
it is not due to the clone but to the design

I found this receiver OPENBOX S9 HD PVR and I think is a competitor for DM800 and DM500HD as well!
What do you think fellows?

Dream box have slight edge over its competitors because of its support on web. I think its more considered Box. Otherwise price does not matter when you go for HD and DVB-S2 and other new features

if me i buy a real dm500HD cause clone dmb freez lot and always have problem with
but if u find dmb 800 hd real it's more better.
nothing remplace the real dreambox
