How to know, that bomb is working on dreambox 800 clon ?

do you want to destroy your box? you for sure mean how to know that time bomb doesnt effect your box?

there are some clone box communities round the net that remove a certain check (a dreambox authentification check) in the original gemini software so that it clone safe. sometimes you also need to change the mac-adress of the networtk interface of your clone to a mac adress of an origional dreambox.

I don't think that only by changing the MAC it will solve the problem, the MAC is a issue only when using multiple clones on same network, i don't think gemini identifies a clone just by MAC

I think change the MAC is enough to be safe from the bomb.
I neighbor has changed the mac on his dreambox and is using official gemini 4.7 without problem.
before he changed his MAC he was also using gemini 4.7 but after a month or two the dreambox got bricked, the bomb was activated. so he revived it with jtag.
and now with the mac changed he is using gemini firmware for 4 months without problem.

I see that you have experience in DM, what about 5.0 from gemini, has or not a time bomb ?

gemini images above the version number 4.2 includes timebombs. dont use above 4.2 versions or use other images. there are lots of images. like pli,nabilo,sifteam, tdw etc...

It has many gemini images with time bomb removed just be carefol dont use new images only use tested images with no bomb

Newnigma2 (ramiMAHER boot loader) images is good image but there are a lot of problems... for example:
- if you want use webinterface you will need to remove the extension using remote control than re-install some webinterface_experimental like enigma2-plugin-extensions-webinterface_experimental-cvs20101022-r0_mipsel
- I also had too much crash with others extensions

But is safe, beautiful and good image

If you have a DreamBbox clone, avoid to use the orinal Garmin images, especial the new ones, otherways you will kill you receiver

There is no case i am aware of that dn800 sim 2.01 as ever been infected with timebomb.

Most other images are memory hungry and eye candy and cause green screen.

I have an iNet Box 300s which is a DM500 clone.
I like Gemini 4.7 and have so far tried the attached images with no problem.

You can easily ****** them.
I am not responsible if you brick you box.

In my Black Hole image is a software patch named "Original Dreambox" - and this avoids the time bomb - if there is still one... and you'll find it on the net...
