its the big freeze outside now.so to clear snow and ice,just throw salt on to it. any one know hot to stop the picture freeze on your television lol

Throwing salt (or anything else) at the TV unfortunately doesn't help

munsterguy is asking about ICE and SNOW, not CCcam freezing so i'm not sure how this link is going to help!

By the way, I tried the the salt thing but it did not help at all... Just use the good old method, clear the ice and snow yourself

It did not work for me! Is there anything special I need to do or I just need to throw salt and that is it? Maybe it works on pathways but not on satellite dishes

Are you using a special type of salt (I used iodized salt and it did not work as I said earlier)

use offset antennas to prevent snow accumulation. parabolic antennas are not good for snowy regions.
