Remove the tuner from its socket, clean its connectors and then re insert, this trick works for me on similar situation like that

Thanks a lot all of you, I will try everything you mentioned.
I will also change the skew of the lnb because I'm pretty sure it's of where it's supposed to be.
I'm using it on a motor diseq 1.2 dish.

Will try with a new lnb as well, otherwise I guess it's the tuner itself.
What tuner do you recommend to buy, can I replace it with a original tuner since it's a clone?

you can still check the voltage at the output of the receiver must be 13-18 volts, but the faster the problem of connectors and cable.

That's why I said the complete system has to be checked with another receiver. If this receiver has no problems with dish, cable, lnb... it's defenitly a failure of your clone-receiver.
Self repair sometimes may help, but in most cases you need new hardware.

I agree with you at all, the most important proof when all fails, is chek with another different device, as Satphoenix says, and if the problem persist then you can become crazy, but if the other device works fine, there is no dubt, your device is defective. No more.
So try with another one, you can try with an old sat receiver you have abandoned in your home, I have i.e. and old echostar and an old comag, and when I repointing my two sat dishes they are the best to caught the sat signal. So you can use one of this old devices to try, and proof if LNB, cable, connectors, etc are OK.

You loose your tuner when you change from vertical to horizontal?
Or when you open the webinterface?

There should not be any skew on the Lnb for a fixed dish, it should be neutral, the skew is automatically set by the dish position as the motor moves it around the arc.

Absolutely true.
To be more specific, skew should be at 0° when dish is pointing a satellite that has the same longitude (or similar) of our place.
Example: suppose I live at 13°East (no matter the latitude) ... when my dish is pointing to HotBird I have to check that my skew is neutral (0°).

I think that the tuner is ok , the lnb is ok, but your dish need of align.
Maybe the motor has moved for a little and lost his align.
You need to set up from the begining your dish in order to solve the problem.

Because of this is something very difficult to do, I suggest you first to try with another box on your motor dish to see the real cause.

A problem that disappears after reboot makes me think to a software problem, so you'd better try to reflash a new image.
Furthermore, in dm500 the tuner is soldered to the main board so there are no contacts to clean ...

I have same problem when connection with motor are not goog.Check that first

In this case we have a hardware problem.

It's a very known problem of dm500s clones, that can be fixed by changing the followings on the motherboard:

-Capacitors C721 100uF
-Capacitors C728 220uF
-Transistor Q72 NDS352APCT-ND

Of course , this must be done from someone who knows what is doing
