Problem booting a DM800HD PVR

Hi,

I just bought a DM800HD PVR guess it's a clone.
It's running Nemesis, dual enigma.

First time I started it, it booted fine.

Now when I try to start it, it says
booting...
start enigma...
then after a while it says - switch off...

If I switch it off it just resets and try to boot with the same procedure again.

What should I do to get it running?

Did you change something in the config or did it stop working without reason ?
If you know the ip address of the receiver you can telnet and find out if it's a problem with enigma2 (that I guess).
In any case, I think it will be easier and faster to re-flash the box from scratch.

I was only installing an app for DISEQC Motor setup, and tried to find some satellites with it.

I manage to telnet to the box and made a factory reset without any progress.

Will try to re-flash it, but need to find a decent image for this clone.

This could cause skin or other unsupported module.

Henrik, if you can telnet to the box you can uninstall the package that probably is causing the problem:
If you don't remember the name of the package:

opkg list-installed

and you will have the list of all packages installed.

Then:

opkg remove package_name

and you have done ...

If it was a skin to cause your loop, you can change the current skin.
Just edit file /var/etc/enigma2/settings and replace with a working (installed) skin.

Thanks good to know if I end up with the same issue again when installing some plugins/apps.

But I flashed it with a new rom, right now I'm trying out Dream-Elite.

With BlackHole I was not able to boot it as well, I guess this box is sensitive with what you feed it with.

I use Dream-Elite BH for DM800 Clone, Its slightly slower than OpenPli but it has better user interface graphics than openPLi.
