    No dear, you can't
    You can use only one cam each time.

    As you said you have to manualy set which channels you want to open with one cam and which with the other.

    Every time you swich to the other cam it makes a restart and that's why you may notice a delay.

      Can only run 1 cam at a time, so it's either cccam or mgcamd.

        I think Mgcam can open all of your channels as you put you Cccam C-line in the cfg file of Mgcam

          Clines you in the cccamd.list file for mgcamd and nlines go in the newcamd.list file.

            yes you can run 2 even 3 cams at same time
            but it has to do with the cam scripts
            i know that gbox and cccam can run together and gbox+mgcamd also
            there are more
            so you need to find a script there can do it

              I have mgcamd works with cccamd.list file, and with newcamd.list file, but one by one, but if you turn together cccamd.list file and newcamd.list file has a conflict and nothing works.

                that's probably cos you have the same cline and nline providers
                in both lists
                you can't do that
                an newcamd.list shall only be like this
                CWS = 192.168.1.1 20000 dummy dummy 10 02 13 04 15 06 17 08 01 10 11 12 13 14 lan server1

                  Re: Can we run two cams together in dm800 se

                  I hwve a question. Last night I downloaded and installed mgcwmd 1.35a to give it a proper go.
                  I put my sly uk nline in the newamd.list, changing the n for cws and it works great.
                  However I put my 2 multisat clines in cccamd.list and whilst they do work, it takes ages to open the channel.
                  When I use cccam the channel opens within 1 second, but mgcamd takes several seconds and is especially bad on hd channels.
                  Is there something need to configure to get clines opening faster?
                  Nline opens very fast though.

                    Re: Can we run two cams together in dm800 se

                    C lines works ok on cccam
                    N lines works ok on mgcamd

                    so, I think that each line is for a particular cam.
                    Yes, I know that you can add C lines in cccamd.list, but as you noticed by your self , they don't work ok, or don't work as fast as in the cccam.
                    Moreover mgcamd works in a different way from cccam.

                    My opinion is, that each line must be gone in a particular cam.

                      My opinion is, that If you want to work with both at the same time you must have two different clines, one for cccam and another for mgcamd...

                        I was just wondering if there was some configuration I coukd alter to speed up the clines.
                        My clines and nlines both open channels very fast in cccam, so thought the same might be possible in mgcamd.

                            They are not the same server. My nline is for sly uk only and I have 2 multisat clines.
                            I haven't tried the latest mgcamd as I was led to believe that it is unstable. Is this true?

                              I think I sorted it. All I had to do was change Network shares priority P from it's default of P: { 00 } to P: { 02 }
                              Seems to work great now with clines and nlines.
