    DM800 clone

I hope I can post this here. Is it possible to buy a dm800 clone official and on a legal way or is it in general illegal because it's a illegal copy?

      hi Satphoenix

I also suggest you do some reading about differences/pros/contras between originals and clones before you buy.

OK, it sounds that I buy on my own risk that it could be a total lost. And this doesn't sound really legal. Am I right?

I've also read about the possible technical disadvantage but I've read technical tests which say that there's no difference even after one year of usage.

When you buy from China you can ask for OEM version: the case doesn't show copyrighted brands so customs cannot stop/destroy the item because it is fully legal.
Of course you have a clone inside, but the cover do not pretend to be a DM***.
          Hope it helps.

They rebrand them with names like sunray, etc. You could also consider a genuine receiver such as gigablue, vu+, etc. Both cost about the same as a dm800 clone and do the same thing.

OK, so far, a clone is an illegal copy from china with the equal functions (and equal OS) and dream multimedia is fighting against this clones.

But the genuine receivers (vu+ etc.) are official and legal?! Aren't there any copyright problems with dream-multimedia or are they completly other systems?

Vu+, gigablue, protek, xtrend, etc are all genuine and totally legal.
You do get clone vu+ as well, but stick to the original as clones have a lot of issues.
