LAN card burned on dm800 hd

Hello, just wanted to know if i can use an adapter usb to lan for my dm800 hd.
i ask that because my dm lan is burned from a thunder so the only way is to receive internet through usb port.
is it possible?

It should work.
I say that because you can connect an external tuner to the USB port of the Dreambox and it is recognized and functions as a 2nd tuner.

But hope the get a more positive answer from other members.

Have you tried looking in the box and attepted to replace the damaged components?

Here is a solution for LAN component repair from Replace the following components:

L5 = 0.39UH 1206 ±10%
C123 = 10UF 1210 16V +80% -20%
C124 = 1NF 0603 50V ±10%
