a lots of BER on some transponder

    hi there

i am getting trouble with some transponder on my dm500, i got a lot of BER and signal problem only on few transponder of eurobird 28°e. its freezing and i got only half screen or blank.

it work great on an other dm600 with same wire, so i cant figure why its so disturbed.

an other power supply could help ??

are you sure your dish is really well oriented?

you have no BER at all on these transponders with the DM600 ?

Do you have a transponder lock when you are scanning the channels, if not then is a tuner problem, if you do, you will have to check your dish alignment and cable connection.

It could also be a problem on the LNB. It could oscillate at certain frequencies and prevent satellite reception on certain frequencies.

transponder is locked for 5-10 seconds then unlock and BER increase

Re: a lots of BER on some transponder

And what about the receiver to connect to another dish, LNB, cable? This would reliably exclude a mistake on your receiver ...

you can increase the tuner voltage in the Tuner configuration, depending if your dreambox has this feature, i know the dm800 has.

It is usually written on the label tuner.

was thinking of buying a clone but not now, only a suggestion, try it on a friends set up if no probs with his, then you know box is wrong but if other box on your set up working ok, then problem most deff faulty box i think. good luck
