    DM800 remote control response

Hi, i have a problem with my new dm800 clone, remote time response is quite low. My DM500 is much much faster! I added a swap file in a usb stick, i tried gemini 5.1 and blackhole Dreamelite 76c 133DV3 Phoenix and it's always as slow... Tha range is ok, i can use it anywhere in the room but the response time is the problem, when i push a button it's not instantly made on the screen.
Is it a known problem and what can i do to solve it? Thanks

I ******d it before posting a thread here and it seems i'm not alone with that problem but i didn't find a real fixing solution... Nope i haven't tried another remote. What kind of remote can i try? My DM500 remote could work with the DM800??

If the image on your box has this option, you can do this:
          menu
          setup
          system
          input device
          remote
          change repeat intervals from 50ms
          to 250ms or 500ms

If this did not help try replacing the IR Receiver component:
          VISHAY - TSOP4838 - IR RECEIVER, 38KHZ

I don't get this option in Dream Elite image. Is it possible to install it as extension maybe? I searched in tunisiasat extensions and didn't find anything about input device

Unfortunately, the option is not available in every image.
I am not sure if it is available as a plugin.

This is rather a problem of image. Install another. I recommend you Newnigma or Nemesis. Taking into consideration the SIM and bootloader.

I tried a few images including nemesis, gemini, openpli, merlin. And for me the remote gets the same problem, when i push a button it's not instant in the screen there's a delay, there was not with my dm500.

I previously had 800hd clone I have not had any problems. Now I have a 800SE clone and the receiver was charged with Experimental Images and then I had a similar problem menus are displayed with a delay after pressing the button. Once I changed the image is fine.

                      Re: DM800 remote control response

Maybe i should use a more recent image? I use Dream elite DV1.33 Bootloader 76c and i know my dreambox can receive bootloader 84. Problem is i should erase because using multiboot i just can install images from same bootloader as the flash image... Anf except this small problem of remote everything is fine so... I don't know if it worth the full reinstall without 100% sure to solve this problem...

Look what I found on this topic:

"the kameleon IR extenders (and remotes) are compatible with the 800, the code is 7123. i think the problem is with the remotes as i have a clone remote that has to me dead in line with the box to work, the oroginal remote will work from any angle in front of the box, and my kameleon will work it from anywhere in the room, even pointing at the opposite wall"

Thanks, i've seen that too googling for my problem but with my remote i can change channels pointing on from anywhere even in front of the wall so i don't think it's the same problem but maybe it is my remote with another problem. The ideal would be to try another dm800 remote but i don't know anyone from my close friends who own one.

Test whether the network respond quickly or be delayed. If you meet there and then slowly maybe the problem is not remote.

Good idea, i tried it and look like to be faster but not so much, i just had a few seconds to try so i will make a longest try tonight to really check if it's ok by network.

Edit: it's exactly the same so it is not a remote or IR problem... So maybe the bootloader images? 76.
