Re: image installed.

Normaly its shown using the remote: Main menu, then (4)information, then about.

It will also have a splash screen at boot with the image name

Try Open_Pli_maxvar which should be somewhere here:

Nope, no info...Just information about the CPU and stuf...

The splash screen is with an old lady smiling (like a bride or smth...) :\

I haven't found Open PLi maxvar for dm500 on that site, neither on here :\

Now I need is some screenshots of the images, because unfortunately I'm not the only one who uses the receiver...I need a clean but clear image.. (like nabilosat darkstar II)

Maybe, you are confusing "Skins" with the "Firmware and Plugins" on the box?

The "Skin" is what you see on your tv, and there are hundreds of them out there to choose from.

Its what's under that, that makes the difference.

sorry it was just a cut/paste from my own cline
u can of-course change it to whatever you like an add more providers if you want
look in CCcam.prio what the provider has for a number

Image installed:
Look at the prompt you get when logging with ssh.
Look in /boot where the vmlinuz file is located.

Where is that CCCam.prio?

Normally in /var/etc
It is possible that you don't have it.
so just put it there

The CCCam.prio prioritize the EMM to be send to the servers.
If you look at the details of an encrypted program, you will see that the same channel is crypted for various providers sometimes 5.
This is used by the various operators to deal with various subscription options.
It is therefore possible to give a priority on what provider to use.
If not available the EMM are sent to the servers with no order.

that's only an optimization, nothing else

OK people, i've put the cccam.prio and some of the channels open up real fast, but some of them - real slower :\
So, I'll stick to the average opening of the channels and remove the prio...


But why when I open up teletext my whole dreambox freezes and there's nothing else to do except to plug it off power, than plug it in again...
Sometimes it freeezes on various channels that open up via EMU...and I have to do that again...

Why is that?

maybe a bad image u have installed
try some other clone images
and u should also try some other prio files
not all are good i think i tried 5 different before i found 1 good
u can even make your own
with your preferred providers

Where can I find info about providers' CAID?
In the ECM menu? (blue panel)
