Re: usb media player

The idea of running of a boot disc like mint is you cannot load to your hdd only the flash drive. the only time you can see your hdd is when you go into setting and it displays it as a hdd but with the version I am using you cannot transfer files from the flash to windows nor can you transfer files from windows to the flash.

Re: usb media player

A friend of mine has this wd media player and is very satisfied from it.

It's very friendly to use and supports every known video file.

He has the older model and as he said me it's perfect.

Here you watch a review of the WD TV Live Media Player which I think is the last model on the market
ext3 it's a very good idea for linux box.
...but I would like to ask...
is there a way to access ext3 linux partition from Windows?
There's open sourse project developing ext3/4 driver for windows _http://www.ext2fsd.com

About the topic
Even my stupid (not smart) TV (panasonic TX-LR50B ) shows content from 2tb usb disk. Appears it's time to upgrade the box.
