Another thing to try:

- Tools
- Options
- Stream Parameters
- Check "Ignore Transport Stream Map"

Then re-try your .TS file.

one idea : is your ts file ( from vu+solo2 )
might be not compatible with videoredo,
but are compatible with other vid editor ?

have you been successful open your vu+solo2-ts with such a virtualdub or another ?

also, should you receive a short videoredo-compatible-ts
to test your videoredo

just a suggestion:

i was using this gordian knot,
and i learnt a lot
as it is a comprehensive bundle of tools
like sound, vid, subtitle, ... , mux , demux, crop, .... , codec ...

Hi Kalpicos are the ts files you are trying open from a Sky box if so the hack for doing that has disappeared.
Hi ignore this just seen that your box is a vu Aplok may have the answer in his post.

if your ts are in the satbox,

and you open them from your pc,
by means of a satbox-based samba or nfs service,

a suggestion is to check it your have access to those file ( read/write/exec )

and the service do not block the pc address
or the service include the pc ip in the authorized clients

I would like to thanks all members for the help.

My problem isn't the ts files but seems to be the VideoReDo, because it can't open not only ts files but also mp4 videos and avi.

In other words, doesn't work properly.

I made the change in settings as @pjmuk said, but nothing :(

I didn't make any other change in settings of the program and also my codecs work ok on my PC.
All the video files are located in my PC.

Any other program for editing or converting video files work perfect.

I will try to find another version of the VideoReDo or even I will test the shareware version in order to find what happens.

- an integrated bundle of tools ( 5 ... 8 )
- [I]gui[/I] monitored : with menu, window ...
( to drive underlying [I]cli[/I] (command line interfaced) tools )
- to process vid

that is:
- video stream

and, inclusively,
- audio stream

-> you've got the menu as an interface to the cli tools,
which can be driven manually with the console (dosbox)

hi,

... okay , i've restarted windos

and good news: and i am still alive !

then,

i've installed virtualdub,

run it on mpeg: ok

run it on ts from the dbox: not ok :(

sorry, i can't help further this issue,

except that it works with avidemux on linux :confused:

Just used the latest update of freemake Video Converter and converted 4 Gig of ts to Avi in 30 mins

If I understood right, the Wondershare Video converter is a pay program and the freemake video converter is a free.

I didn't try them but I believe that the free applications never can't do what the pay applications can do.

Can you please tell us what the both applications are able to do and what not?

I think both software can do anything belongs to video converting but yes performance will be more in case of wondershare,its speed will be high compares to freemake. But that does not mean freemake is not good. It is awesome for normal work. It is more than good at 0 price :)

I used to use a little piece of software called [B]Faasoft Video Converter[/B] to convert TS files to AVI, happy with it.

Is it a freeware or shareware program?

Can this application handle .ts files directly or must be converted first in avi files?
