Re: win phone 8

win8 are doing good sales on pc and laptops especially on laptops with touch screens like hp5102 which is 3 year old laptop and was running on win7, now win8 its a big upgrade. also there are cheap if you compare them with older OS. if those sales continue to raise they maybe spend some money on the phone devices cause they all see that they are the future and more people are letting laptop to side and just use their phone now.

Windows 8 is actually faster than Windows 7, but it is also true that especially in graphics card drivers, companies are not giving proper support for older versions, especially ati amd this very unsatisfactory and also with intel gma integrated the atom
I had a wp7 and now i have an android phone: the difference is too big, specially in terms of apps and games - it's other universe. I think wp8 will not have a great future. The market is bipolarised: ios and android.
Don't forget about Microsoft store . It has now a lot of apps ,like android market!
Windows mobile are not dead, with windows 8 and metro ,people are gonna be used to it .
Microsoft decided now to focus on communication about advertisement on windows mobile.
Wait and see my friend :)

Microsoft store is a imitates android market or apple market. They are 2-3 years behind competitors such as Google and Apple. A number of applications is much smaller.

They will target different customer:
Microsoft is about to embark on a second wave of Windows 8 client hardware promotions and user education, an executive said Wednesday.

"Starting soon, you'll see us do a lot more education of the business user and consumers," said Christopher Flores, director of communications for the Windows client division, in an interview at the Mobile World Congress.
Ok, I understand the OS in phones is more similar to the firmware in satellite receivers, and the apps just run as a part of that.

If we talk about education target customers (excepting the office software) apple has done a great route forward microsoft (especially with ios + ipad).

About 500,000 developers have signed up for Windows 8 developer training classes that can run for a half day or longer.

"Developers want to make money and know Windows is going to be big".

More apps, more interest from schools and university in my opinion.
IT schools are going to push the microsoft market and boost windows 8 phone.
That's only my opinion of course :)

They end up doing with the market but time to time, this time partnered with Nokia, and you begin to develop with Samsung, LG or any of the Korean giants, would do it with a good market share

In terms of software coding it is always worth noting that most coding is done by separate developers who are asked to write the code, this means that you often don't know who you are writting for.

Not good news for Win phone users MS to stop support of win phone 8 in 2nd
half 2014.
Microsoft has confirmed that it will stop supporting Windows Phone 8 and
Windows Phone 7.8 next year.

The computing giant announced on its website that both operating systems
will be given an 18-month life cycle, due to end in the second half of 2014.

Some people get expensive phones by getting them on a contract usually 2years
but with this announcement is it worth opting for a windows phone?

a lot of very annoyed phone manufacturers out there after this bombshell.
been looking at buying a new phone, I know which system I will not be buying now.

Win phone 8 is a very good choice for the new develeoper, because you can create an application that has not already been established in a number of copies as is the case for the android.

If you were a app developer would you spend your time developing for a mobile
phone os that is going to be outdated in 18 months time? If you were buyer
would you invest in a phone that in 18 months will have no support for it?
