    Re: win phone 8

Nokia's survival seems to be difficult. It copletely stopped making phone for a while because of the out dated symbian system. Did a big deal with microsoft for a new operating system and launched Lumia but its going very slow. Don't think it can gain its reputation back, even with MS.

MS is doing everything it can to make Win phone a success, the number
apps available the Win phone has greatly increased, it has expanded
its Windows Phone Store to 37 new markets around the globe, bringing
the company’s app store presence to 191 total markets. Alongside the
new regions, Microsoft also revealed that its WindowsPhone.com Web
Store is accessible in 112 markets. Coinciding with the new market
launches are new features: Universal search to make content discovery
easier, app installation to SD cards (for when an Internet connection is
not available), and a new reinstallation feature that makes transferring
      account information less troublesome.
Nokia has gambled with MS and MS does not want to fail.

The new markets receiving the Windows Phone Store include:
Angola, Armenia, Bangladesh, Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi,
Cameroon, Chad, Congo (DRC), Dominican Republic, El Salvador,
Guinea, Haiti, Honduras, Kenya, Liechtenstein, Madagascar,
Malawi, Malaysia, Mali, Mozambique, Nicaragua, Niger, Pakistan,
Paraguay, Rwanda, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Tajikistan,
Tanzania, Togo, Turkmenistan, Uganda, Yemen, Zambia, and
      Zimbabwe.

Windows phone isn't and won't be a great succes for ms.
There is too much competition .
In the future it won't change either.
Android and IOS are leading .
          Wp8 is too far away!

Not sure I agree that winphone8 will not succeed. If apps / programs can be made to work on the RT/Win 8 core it will allow complete convergence between desktop/laptop/tablet/phone frameworks... This will be massive for people.

Alternatively a faster Android or Chrome OS needs to be released to power PC/Laptops that will also run Windows vista/7/8 applications.

But you need to know that android also got many ways to connect with pc
There are many ways and apps for it to be compatible.
I think with android you got many more choise for connectivity so I would allways choose android and not ios or wp8.
But maybe it can change never no.

I would think win 8 has as many ways to connect like a android device, they primerally use the same type of basic language but different operating systems, but that does not matter,ie it will connect to the pc far easier than android so you can run media players through it it will connect to flash memory like android, apple will not, with apple you only have the memory you have paid for when you bought it,It will connect by wifi so really android is not better somewhere near the same. where android scores as yet is the tremendous support that it has for apps and price wise of the tablets and phones.

Almost more than half of the apliacaciones of android applications are to emulate Windows, which gives almost equal platform, which will make for all versions, in terms of stability or not depends more on the phone who decide to use it, it seems be especially Nokia and htc

however as i know you can change size application in win8 and also move application
but unfortunately the price win8 in mobile is atleast 250 euro that is expensive

There is some custom ROM with windows 8 for the phone (HTC for sure).
I usually prefer installing custom rom because you can easily priorize what you want (lighter OS with less application or focus on third app like social network).
The metro interface has so many possibilities ,but for now ,there are few developpers that focus on windows phone.

Is the os compressed on the Rom and then loaded into volatile memory? Surely it must be otherwise data relevant to apps could only be read and not written. I ask this as that is surely similar to loading say Win 8 from an SSD into RAM.

No,it's the the same OS with customize application.
Mainly it doesnt touch the kernel (but not everytime).
The big advantage is to have every update and apps up to date with the last modified rom.

I had a wp7 and now i have an android phone: the difference is too big, specially in terms of apps and games - it's other universe. I think wp8 will not have a great future. The market is bipolarised: ios and android.

No mistake just w8 have taken to precisely operate a store where sell micro com apple and google apps, because there is the business of the companies at this time, and Microsoft gets into the car and will prevail, but time to time.
