    Re: Warning scam

I dont know why Isp's dont start to use prefix ban codes on their email servers - I for one would like to see them setup a ban on all african , pakistan and india internet regions - nothing good ever comes out of their email servers.

I did exactly that on our companies email servers after the deluge of African email scams we were getting every day.

It would not be practical or even nice to ban entire regions of the world
some of us have friends from all over the world and even on this very
forum there are people from Africa, Pakistan and India.
The majority of the sophisticated scams originate in the USA and
plenty from Spain especially the lottery scams for us here in the U.K.
Please read this article it shows that even though the emails seem
to originate from Nigeria they are actually from the USA or other areas.

        Re: Warning scam

if it sound to good to be true then it isnt. many times i found emails and sms telling me that i won a big price money etc. the only one that almost got me was the one with the Paypal password. Another scam that they try is letting you a missed call on your mobile and if you call them back you will be charge a lot of money.

There is another scam about the Royal Mail. It works with gumtree. People buy things on gumtree and then they receive a quote from Royal mail (website) asking them to enter their UKASH voucher number in there to pay for the item and they will receive the item. The delivery never happens. Actually once they have your UKASH number. They can redeam it and you can't do anything about it.

            Re: Warning scam

You would never click on links received through unknown emails. So on, never must let show the pictures contained in those rare emails because probably you will be a scam target.
Pay Pal or any Bank will never ask for your private information, keys, etc... by email. So be carefull with this kind of fishing scam.
In Xmas time is very usual receive this kind of email because all people use much more their credit cards and is more easy scam many people.

            Best regards.

              Re: Warning scam

A scam you may find in your email is a "paypal" email telling you about some sites selling very cheap phones, tables etc but those pages are fake and the email is confirm from paypal as scam. be awere for pages with "https".
