Google has just revealed a new Google Glass Explorer Edition of its prototype camera-equipped glasses at I/O 2012. Pre-orders are open today, only for attendees of the I/O conference, and will cost $1,500 for a delivery early next year. As Sergrey Brin himself confesses, this is by no means intended to be a consumer product, but Google's keen to get the Project Glass hardware out into people's hands and onto their faces.
What do you think guys is google getting more control, will they get more information from the people with this Technology?
or
would it be a great stuff if it comes to puplic? will this changes our life's? Better than Iphone?
Let me know what you guys think.
Best Regards Locan
I think the same this glasses are Highly expensive but still there are many people who would like to have those, oh and i think i forgot to type that the glasses will be not available for the public. since it is in a very very early stage of development, the price on the top is just a price for some special developers who gets acces to that. So its not even set that it will come out to the Public.
But what i am thinking about is if this glasses goes to Public and becomes a mass Product the Price i think will be less than 200$. Also Facebook, twitter etc. will get a big advantage of that, But what i am worrying about is, what will they do for the privacy and security?
Because everybody who want's could follow you and knows where you are, what you doing and even what you are saying without permission.
But also the good things would be that it could make life much easier, for example, if you watch for a special place, with the augmented reality you find the place quicker than ever or if you want to talk to a friend you know where he is, call a taxi and meet him, searching for information would be also much quicker or it would be also possible to pay for things you buy in a store.
But lets see what the future will bring us :)
