Re: Windows 8 Developer Preview
Ok, I will investigate about Win 8. If you say is new and reliable and great perfomance, Ok.
But I think drivers compatibilities will be a problem, or not?
Ive not had any drivers issues at all and i am currently testing windows 8 on a Centrino Duo laptop (model Toshiba A100-338) that originally came with Vista (oh dear!)

Previous had Windows 7 running on this laptop (4GB ram) 1.6Ghz processor, no driver issues and full 4GB memory available to the OS. (in Win 8 too)
Dislikes the Chinese Openbox Receivers, so much..

It's usually hardware manufacturer problem that does not adapt or evolve with the software, it is also true that in a normal beta drivers that may be missing

It should connect to windows' updates servers and should find the appropriate drivers...
In fact, that's going to be windows 8's BIGGEST innovation - no need for drivers, because a lot of people loose their drivers cd's and don't want to download them...
Windows 8 has the solution for everything...

Yes, Windows 8 comes with Anti Virus / Spam / Malware Protection included.
It was mentioned in an article online last month:

Ok, I will read it.
This is a great new, antivirus, antispam, included inside.
Perhaps Win8 will be a very good O.S.
I will try it as soon as I can.
Regards.

Re: Windows 8 Developer Preview

I have tried it on my Toshiba Qosmio 770 with no problems. The drivers I have used from Toshiba have worked without problems. Don't forget this, is a pre beta release, to give developers a sight of the new Operating System.

I haven't tried windows 8 yet, but really annoyed that the start buttons takes you to the metro screen. Not a big fan of metro.

According to engadget there is no (current) way to disable metro, it is how the start menu is. However a lot of companies have requested the old style start menu to stay, which makes sense.

Someday it will have to change the old Windows Start button, if everything changes Why it is not to change too?

Home users don't mind it, but in a corporate environment they want to keep things simple. A lot of companies may need to change their apps to work with the metro style start button. It will just put a lot of companies off upgrading, a bit like vista did to companies, most have gone from XP to windows 7.
